DTC B2634: Mirror D SW Illumination Circuit Anomalous State
DTC detecting condition:
- When the electric retraction SW illumination driver circuit detects Over current (8 A or more).
- When the electric retraction SW illumination driver circuit detects overheat.
- When a communication (ECM internal signal) error in the electric retraction SW illumination driver circuit is detected.
Trouble symptom:
The following functions do not operate.
- Remote control mirror switch light illumination
Wiring diagram:
Clearance light and illumination light system Refer to WIRING SYSTEM>CLEARANCE LIGHT AND ILLUMINATION LIGHT SYSTEM .
- CHECK DTC
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read the DTC of [Door Mirror (Driver)] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Refer to DOOR MIRROR (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B2634 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Go to 2.
No : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. - CHECK REMOTE CONTROL MIRROR SWITCH
.
Check remote control mirror switch unit. Refer to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REMOTE CONTROL MIRROR SWITCH .
Is the remote control mirror switch OK?
Yes : Go to 3.
No : Replace the remote control mirror switch. Refer to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REMOTE CONTROL MIRROR SWITCH .
- CHECK COMBINATION METER
.
Check the combination meter. BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURERefer to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>Basic Diagnostic Procedure .
Is the combination meter OK?
Yes : Go to 4.
No : Replace the combination meter. Refer to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .
- CHECK HARNESS (SHORT CIRCUIT TO POWER SUPPLY)
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the outer mirror Control Module (driver's seat) connector.
- Disconnect the remote control mirror switch connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between outer mirror Control Module (driver's seat) connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(Df22) No. 13 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage less than 1 V?
Yes : Go to 5.
No : Repair the short circuit to power supply in harness between outer mirror Control Module (driver's seat) connector and remote control mirror switch connector.
- CHECK HARNESS (GROUND SHORT CIRCUIT)
.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between outer mirror Control Module (driver's seat) connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(Df22) No. 13 - Chassis ground:
Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?
Yes : Replace the outer mirror Control Module (driver's seat). Refer to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>OUTER MIRROR Control Module .
No : Repair the short circuit to ground in harness between outer mirror Control Module (driver's seat) connector and remote control mirror switch connector.
