Rear Shelf Trim: Removal

CAUTION:
  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .
  • Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly and pad rear side. Refer to SEATS>Rear Seat>REMOVAL .
  3. Tilt the backrest forward.
  4. Release the clips and remove the trim panel assembly trunk front on the left and right sides.

  5. Remove the clips, and remove the trim panel assembly C pillar.

  6. Remove the trim panel assembly rear shelf.
    1. Remove the bolts, and then remove the belt assembly rear OUT CTR lower anchor.
    2. Release the clips to float the trim panel assembly rear shelf.
    3. Remove the belt cover, and guide the anchor of the belt assembly rear OUT CTR to behind the trim panel assembly rear shelf.
    4. Remove the trim panel assembly rear shelf.
