Inattention Alarm Sounds Frequently (Operates Improperly)
- Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Refer to DRIVER MONITOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .
- Check "Check List for Interview", and describe conditions where the malfunctions occurred and information of the customer in detail. Refer to DRIVER MONITOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>CHECK LIST FOR INTERVIEW .
- Perform the check list for alarm. Refer to DRIVER MONITOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>LIST>CHECK LIST FOR ALARM .
- CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

Check if the vehicle was stopped or was moving at 8 km/h (5 MPH) or less.
Was the vehicle in stopped status, or was running at 8 km/h (5 MPH) or less?
Yes : Replace Driver Monitoring Unit. Refer to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>DRIVER MONITORING UNIT .
No : Go to 2.
- CHECK FOR WEARING ACCESSORY

Check if the user was wearing any accessories such as glasses and sunglasses.
Was the user wearing any accessories?
Yes : Ask the user to remove the accessories.
When the trouble occurs again. Go to 3.
No : Go to 3.
- CHECK DRIVING POSITION
.
Check if the driving position was incorrect (for example, the user leaned forward, or was putting his/her head out of the window).
Was the driving position incorrect?
Yes : Ask the user to correct the driving position.
When the trouble occurs again. Go to 4.
No : Go to 4.
- CHECK INATTENTIVE DRIVING
.
Check for inattentive driving.
Was there inattentive driving?
Yes : Driver Monitoring System is normal.
No : Driver Monitoring System is normal.
NOTE: Inform the user that the recognition may not work properly with the current driver monitoring system, and have the user decide whether or not to use.
