Inspection Without Using Can Diagnostic

Trouble causes:

Electrical system malfunction
Faulty harness and harness connector

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Refer to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .

CHECK BATTERY .
Check the battery. Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>Battery . Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DOTC)>Battery .

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Go to 2.

No: Charge or replace the battery.
CHECK FUSE .
Check the fuse which might affect the problem.

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Go to 3.

No: Replace the fuse. If the replaced fuse blows out easily, some type of fault is present. Therefore, repair the faulty portion.
CHECK HARNESS .
Check the harness and harness connector connection which might affect the problem.

Is the check result OK?

Yes: Go to step 3 in the Basic Diagnostic Procedure. Refer to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>Basic Diagnostic Procedure>PROCEDURE .

No: Repair or replace the faulty harness or harness connector.
