DTC C1412: Selected Parameter
DTC Detecting condition:
A fault is detected if abnormal set value is found on the vehicle model that were given some parameters.
Trouble symptom:
- ABS does not operate.
- VDC does not operate.
- AVH does not function.
- EyeSight does not operate. (Models with EyeSight)
- CHECK VDC Control Module & H/U IDENTIFICATION SYMBOL.
Check the identification symbol attached on the H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION .
Is the identification symbol correct?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Replace the VDC Control Module & H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC Control Module & H/U) .
- CHECK PARAMETER SELECTED IN VDC Control Module.
Check the VDC Control Module parameters. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC Control Module & H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDC Control Module PARAMETER CHECK .
Does the parameter registered in the VDC Control Module match the relevant vehicle?
Yes: Go to 3.
No: Select and register the correct parameter. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC Control Module & H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDC Control Module PARAMETER SELECTION .
- CHECK SPECIFICATIONS OF OTHER CONTROL MODULES.
Check the specifications of ECM and TCM.
Are the specifications of ECM and TCM the same as vehicle specification?
Yes: Replace the VDC Control Module & H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC Control Module & H/U) .
No: Replace the ECM and TCM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) . Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) .
