Control Panel: Removal

  1. When the heater control assembly is replaced with a new part, read and store the ECM setting information. (Model with driver monitoring system): Refer to AIR CONDITIONER (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT .
    1. Connect the Subaru Select Monitor.
    2. On [Start] screen, select [Diagnosis].
    3. On [Select Vehicle] screen, enter vehicle information and select [OK].
    4. On [Main Menu] screen, select [Each System].
    5. On [Select System] screen, select [Air Conditioner], and then select [Next].
    6. On [Select Function] screen, select [Work Support].
    7. On the work support item list, select [Read Control module setting information].
    8. According to the display screen, save and close the file.
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the heater control assembly.
    1. Attach the protective tape (a).
    2. Release the c lips and c laws, and then remove the heater control assembly.
      CAUTION: Wrap a remover, etc. with protective tape or cloth. Use a remover, etc. by pressing it in the instrument panel side so that the heater control assembly should not be damaged.

    3. Disconnect the connector, and remove the heater control assembly.
    4. Remove the screws and remove the c enter panel assembly.
