Power Connect Cover

WARNING: The hybrid system includes a high voltage circuit. Mishandling could cause accidents such as electric shock or leak. Always check "WARNING (HYBRID SYSTEM)" and perform the proper operation. Ref. to PRECAUTION/WARNING>Warning (HYBRID SYSTEM) .

Apply liquid gasket to the mating surface of the power connect cover as shown in the figure.
NOTE:
- Before applying liquid gasket, degrease the old liquid gasket seal surfaces of the power connect cover and transmission body.
- Install within 5 min. after applying liquid gasket.
Liquid gasket:

THREE BOND 1217B (Part No. K0877YA020) or equivalent

Temporarily attach the power connect cover.
WARNING: Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
Evenly tighten the bolts which hold the power connect cover.
WARNING: Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

Tightening torque:

5 N.m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.7 ft-lb)
Install the service disconnect plug. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>SERVICE PLUG>INSTALLATION .
Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
