Inhibitor Switch: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N" range.

  3. Remove the inhibitor cover.

  4. Disconnect the select cable from the transmission main body.
    CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

  5. Remove the spring pin (A) and remove the shifter arm (B).

  6. Using a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool wrapped with protection tape, raise the nut stopper (B) crimping and remove the lock nut (A) and the nut stopper (B).

  7. Disconnect the connector and remove the inhibitor switch.
