Charging Inlet
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- CHECK THE CHARGING INLET LOCK ASSEMBLY ON THE VEHICLE
.
- Check operation of the charging connector.
- Press in the push-lifter and check that the lock pin of the charging connector lock operates.WARNING: Do not insert a finger or hand under the lock pin while working. There is the risk of injury resulting from being pinched by the lock pin.NOTE:
- Lock all doors and carry the access key while working within the charging lid unlock detection area.
- Check that the battery (12 V) is normal.
- Press in the push-lifter and check that the lock pin of the charging connector lock operates.
- Check operation of the charging connector.
- CHECK THE CHARGING INLET LOCK ASSEMBLY UNIT
.
- Visual inspection
- Check that there is no foreign matter or other substance on the lock pin of the charging inlet lock assembly.
- Check that there is no bending, deformation, or damage of the lock pin of the charging inlet lock assembly.NOTE:
- If there is foreign matter on the lock pin, remove the foreign matter. If the foreign matter cannot be removed, replace the charging inlet lock assembly.
- If the lock pin does not operate correctly due to bending or deformation, or if the lock pin is damaged, replace the charging inlet lock assembly.
- Check lock pin operation.
- Check the operating conditions of the lock pin when battery voltage is applied to the connector terminal.CAUTION:
- Complete the check within a battery connection lasting approximately 2 or 3 seconds. If voltage is applied for a longer time, there is the risk of damage to the charging inlet lock assembly.
- Check the lock pin conditions before connecting battery voltage, and check the connection sequence.
- If the lock pin is locked, check the unlock operation.
- If the lock pin is unlock, check the lock operation.
