On-Vehicle Inspection For Electric Vehicle Charger Cable Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
  • Use an Electric vehicle charger cable assembly and AC power supply which were confirmed to operate normally, and judge whether or not the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly is normal.
  • When an abnormality is detected, the CCID relay immediately shuts off and the supply of power to the vehicle is stopped.
  • When checking charging, use Subaru Select Monitor and check that [Hybrid Battery SOC] from the list of Data Monitor items is less than 70%. Refer to P-HEV HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
  • If the [Hybrid Battery SOC] is 70% or more, the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly charging indicator may not illuminate even if the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly (charging connector) is inserted into the inlet AC charger cable (charging inlet) and charging is started.
  • If the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly (charging inlet) is shaken during plug-in charging then charging may stop in order to ensure safety.
  • The Electric vehicle charger cable assembly does not affect the EV traveling distance display.
  1. Check regular charging.

Connect the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly and perform regular charging.

    CAUTION:
    • Use an AC power supply which was confirmed to operate normally.
    • Use an Electric vehicle charger cable assembly which was confirmed to operate normally.
  2. If the trouble is not reproduced, (*A)

Connect the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly and perform regular charging.

    CAUTION:
    • Use an AC power supply which was confirmed to operate normally.
    • Use the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly that you want to check.
  3. If the trouble is reproduced, (*B)

During plug-in charging, check the status of the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly power indicator, charging indicator, and error indicator under the conditions shown in the table below.
