Purge Control Solenoid Valve: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the clip from the air intake boot, and loosen the clamp.

  3. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  4. Disconnect the connector (A), and remove the clip (B) securing the engine wiring harness.
  5. Disconnect the purge hose (C).
  6. Disconnect the vacuum hose (D) from the intake manifold assembly, and remove the vacuum hose (D) from the clip (E).

  7. Remove the purge control solenoid valve.

  8. Remove the purge control solenoid valve bracket.

  9. Remove the vacuum hose from the purge control solenoid valve.
