Lane Keep (Lane Departure Prevention) Cannot Be Ready (Lane Indicator Does Not Illuminate)/Lane Keep (Lane Departure Prevention) Does Not Operate (Lane Keep Indicator Does Not Illuminate In Green)/Though Lane Keep (Lane Departure Prevention) Is Operating, The Vehicle Departs Out Of The Lane Due To Poor Assistance

  1. CHECK FOR PRESENCE OF LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION DEACTIVATION CODES  .

    Check for the presence of ECM lane departure prevention deactivation codes. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (HEV)>LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION ASSIST DEACTIVATE CODE(S) DISPLAY .

    Is a lane departure prevention deactivation code displayed?

    Yes  : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed lane departure prevention deactivation code. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (HEV)>LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION ASSIST DEACTIVATE CODE(S) DISPLAY .

    No  : Go to  2.

  2. CHECK USING CHECK LIST  .

    Using CHECK LIST (LANE KEEP), check the following and respond to it.

    • Does it apply to the condition that use of lane keeping is not desired?
    • Does it apply to the condition or the object that is hard to be recognized by the stereo camera?
    • Does it apply to the road condition that the white line is difficult to be recognized?

    Is there a relevant item in the check list?

    Yes  : When there is a relevant item, it can be the cause of malfunction. Eliminate the cause, and check that the malfunction has been improved.

    No  : Go to  3.

  3. INSPECTION OF WINDSHIELD GLASS AND DASHBOARD  .

    Check the windshield glass and the dashboard. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (HEV)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>INSPECTION>WINDSHIELD GLASS AND DASHBOARD .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  4.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  4. INSPECTION OF FRONT WIPER  .

    Check the front wiper. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (HEV)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>INSPECTION>FRONT WIPER .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  5.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  5. CHECK OPTICAL AXIS OF HEADLIGHT  .

    Check the optical axis of the headlight. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY>ADJUSTMENT .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  6.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  6. CHECK STEREO CAMERA  .

    Check the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS) (HEV)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>INSPECTION>STEREO CAMERA .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  7.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  7. CHECK TIRE AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT  .

    Check the tires and wheel alignment.

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  8.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  8. ADJUST OPTICAL AXIS OF THE STEREO CAMERA  .

    Perform optical axis adjustment of the stereo camera. Perform optical axis adjustment of the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>CAMERA ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION>PROCEDURE .

    Was the fault fixed after adjusting the optical axis?

    Yes  : The current state is normal.

    No  : Replace the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA>REMOVAL .
