DTC P0D2A-19: Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Input Current Sensor Circuit Circuit Current Above Threshold: Notes

Outline of diagnosis: 

IAC overcurrent detection was repeated the prescribed number of times.

(1 trip detection logic)

Trouble symptom: 

Plug-in charging suspended

1. CHECK CHARGE  .
   NOTE:

   • Check that the AC power supply used by the customer is the supply provided by the power company.
   • If the customer brought the Charging connector with him/her, use an AC power supply that was confirmed to operate correctly and the Charging connector that the customer brought and perform the following reproduction check to determine whether Charging connector is normal or not when there is no malfunction on the vehicle side.
   • This DTC may be displayed when there are sudden fluctuations in the AC input power supply.
   • Because the speed of the voltage fluctuations is high, it is difficult to identify the conditions from freeze frame data or from [AC Input Voltage for Monitoring] or [AC Input Voltage for Control] in the Data Monitor.
   1. Turn to IG ON.
   2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Plug-in Battery Charger]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
   3. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, display the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [P-HEV High Voltage Battery]. Ref. to P-HEV HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
      • Hybrid Battery SOC
   4. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check [Data Monitor] of [P-HEV High Voltage Battery] to see if [Hybrid Battery SOC] is less than 70%.
   5. Turn the ignition to OFF.
   6. Connect the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly and charge until charging is completed, then check whether or not a [Plug-in Battery Charger] DTC is displayed. Ref. to PLUG-IN BATTERY CHARGER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
      NOTE: Perform charging with an AC power supply that was confirmed to operate normally.

   Was charging completed to the end without a DTC display? 

   Yes  : There is no malfunction on the vehicle side.

   No  : Replace Electric vehicle charger assembly. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER .
