- CHECK THE CONNECTING CONDITION OF CONNECTOR (Inverter with converter assembly LOW PRESSURE CONNECTOR)
.CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
- Check that the Service plug is disconnected. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>SERVICE PLUG .
- Check the connecting condition of connector (HV23) in Inverter with converter assembly and check the relevant terminals for contact pressure, deformation and intrusion of water or foreign matter. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>INVERTER AND CONVERTER ASSEMBLY .
NOTE: When connecting the connector, insert to the end with the lock lever raised, then fold the lock lever completely until a click is heard. After connected, make sure that the lock claw does not loosen and pull the connector to see that it does not come off.Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact, deformation or intrusion of water or foreign matters at the relevant terminals?
Yes: Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.
No: Go to 4.
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (ECM CONNECTOR)
.
Check the connecting condition of connector (E158) in ECM and check the relevant terminals for contact pressure. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (HEV))>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) .
NOTE: When connecting the connector, insert to the end with the lock lever raised, then fold the lock lever completely until a click is heard. After connected, make sure that the lock claw does not loosen and pull the connector to see that it does not come off.Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact at the relevant terminals?
Yes: Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.
No: Go to 5.
- CHECK Wire harness AND CONNECTOR (Inverter with converter assembly - ECM) (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY)
.CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
- Disconnect Inverter with converter assembly connector (HV23).
- Disconnect ECM connector (E158).
- Connect the Battery (12V) ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Turn to IG ON.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between ECM connector and chassis ground.
CAUTION: Use the check board when measuring the ECM terminal voltage and resistance. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO (HEV))>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>PREPARATION TOOL>HOW TO USE CHECK BOARD .Connector & terminal
(E158) No. 7 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage less than 1 V?
Yes: Go to 6.
No: Repair or replace the Wire harness between Inverter with converter assembly connector and ECM connector.
- CHECK Wire harness AND CONNECTOR (Inverter with converter assembly - ECM) (OPEN CIRCUIT)
.CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
- Turn the ignition to OFF.
- Disconnect the ground terminal of Battery (12V). Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between Inverter with converter assembly connector and ECM connector.
