Heater Valve

  1. Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>REFRIGERANT RECOVERY PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the bumper face - front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT BUMPER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the active grille shutter. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (HEV))>ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the air guide LWR.
    1. Release the clips and claws, then remove the air guide LWR.

  6. Disconnect the pipe sensor.
    1. Remove the bolt, and then disconnect the pipe sensor.
      CAUTION: Seal the engaging parts of the disconnected pipe and expansion valve - heater assembly with plugs or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering.

  7. Remove the expansion valve - heater assembly.
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the bolt, and remove the expansion valve - heater assembly.
      CAUTION: Seal the engaging parts of the disconnected hose and condenser assembly with plugs or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering.
