Back-Up Light And Neutral Position Switch

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the clip from the air intake boot, and loosen the clamp.

  3. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  4. Remove the coupling harness.

  5. Remove the harness connector from bracket.
  6. Lift up the vehicle.
  7. Remove the crossmember support - rear LH.

  8. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Refer to EXHAUST (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>FRONT EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the harness from each clip.
  10. Remove the back-up light switch & neutral position switch with the harness.
