Transmission Harness: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission assembly. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580 IMPREZA)>AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the transmission case cover.

  3. Remove the air breather hose. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580 IMPREZA)>AIR BREATHER HOSE>REMOVAL .
  4. Disconnect the harness connector from the turbine speed sensor, primary speed sensor, secondary speed sensor and secondary pressure sensor.

  5. Disconnect the harness connector from the inhibitor switch.

  6. Disconnect the ground terminal and remove the harness clip.

  7. Clean the transmission exterior.
  8. Remove the valve cover and gasket.

  9. Disconnect the harness connector from the control valve body.
  10. Remove the transmission harness.

  11. Remove the O-rings.

  12. Remove the harness clip from the transmission, and remove the transmission harness.
