Inhibitor Switch: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Shift the select lever to the "N" range.
  3. Lift up the vehicle.
  4. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Refer to EXHAUST (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>FRONT EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the snap pin and washer from the shifter arm.
    CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

  6. Remove the spring pin and shifter arm.

  7. Disconnect the inhibitor harness connector.
  8. Remove the inhibitor switch.
