Drive Plate: Installation

  1. Temporarily attach the reinforcement drive plate, drive plate and crankshaft position sensor plate, and set the ST.
    NOTE:
    • Install with the stamped mark of the crankshaft position sensor plate facing the transmission side.
    • Align the knock pin hole of the crankshaft position sensor plate to the knock pin of the crankshaft to secure the knock pin.

    Preparation tool: 

    ST: CRANKSHAFT STOPPER (498497300)

  2. Tighten the bolts securing the drive plate.
    1. Tighten the bolts securing the drive plate.

      Tightening torque: 

      30 N.m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.1 ft-lb)

    2. Using an angle gauge, further tighten the bolts securing the drive plate.

      Tightening angle: 

      30° - 35°

  3. Install the transmission assembly to the vehicle. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580 IMPREZA)>AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
