Air Cleaner Case: Installation

  1. Install the air cleaner case (front).

    Tightening torque: 

    Bolt 

    6 N.m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.4 ft-lb)

    Nut 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  2. Install the nut to secure the inverter front water pipe to the bracket. (Hybrid model)

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  3. Set the air cleaner element and install the air cleaner case (rear).
    CAUTION: Install the air cleaner element so that the printed surface is on the upper side.
    NOTE:
    • If any foreign matter is found in the air cleaner case, clean it.
    • Install by aligning the claws located on the bottom of the air cleaner case.
  4. Connect the air intake boot.

    Tightening torque: 

    3 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 2.2 ft-lb)

  5. Connect the connector to the mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor, and secure the harness with clip.
  6. Install the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE DUCT>INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the ground terminal to 12V engine restart battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: For the hybrid model, connect the battery negative terminal.
