- Measure the resistance between connector terminals.

Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard 1 - 6 Bright switch OFF 10 kΩ or more Bright switch ON Less than 1 Ω 4 - 6 Always Approx. 4, 710 Ω 5 - 6 Illumination control switch upward fully open Approx. 510 Ω Illumination control switch downward fully open Approx. 4, 610 Ω - Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.CAUTION: When applying battery voltage, make sure that each polarity (positive (+) and negative (-)) is properly connected.
Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 2 (+) - 3 (-) Apply battery voltage. Light ON - Replace the illumination control switch if it is found defective.
