Combination Meter: Removal

CAUTION: When the combination meter assembly is replaced, perform the variant work. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER SYSTEM>OPERATION>VARIANT WORK .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the 12V engine restart battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Release the lock, tilt the steering column to the lowest end and fully extend the column by the telescopic system.
  3. Remove the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the grille assembly - CTR ventilation LH. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>CENTER GRILLE ASSEMBLY .
  5. Remove the visor assembly - combination meter.
    1. Release the clips and claws of the cover assembly - visor LWR.

    2. Release the screws, clips and claws.

    3. Disconnect the connector, and remove the visor assembly - combination meter.
  6. Remove the combination meter assembly.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the meter glass or instrument panel.
    1. Remove the screws.

    2. Pull the combination meter assembly toward you and disconnect the connector.
