Stop Light Switch: Installation

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, always refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Install the stop light switch onto the bracket with screws and position it with the nut.
  2. Adjust the stop light switch position, and then tighten the nut. Refer to BRAKE>STOP LIGHT SWITCH>ADJUSTMENT>CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT .

    Tightening torque: 

    8 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.9 ft-lb)

  3. Install the knee airbag module.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  4. Install the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver.
  5. Connect the ground terminal to 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: For the hybrid model, connect the battery negative terminal.
