Crosstrek Model

EXCEPT FOR HYBRID MODEL 

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:
    • For CVT models, release the shift lock and shift the select lever to the "N" position.
    • On power seat models, move the front seat all the way forward before disconnecting the ground terminal from the 12V engine restart battery sensor.
  2. Affix protective tape (a) to the ornament panel - console.

  3. Remove the boot - hand brake.
    1. Pull up the cup holder, and release the engagement of the clip at the end of the cover assembly - front.

    2. Release the engagement of claws and clips, and then remove the boot - hand brake.

  4. Remove the cover assembly - front.
    CAUTION:
    • Remove the mat - center tray and the tray - center LWR together with the cover assembly - front. Removing the mat - center tray first may damage the parts.
    • For models with smart keyless access with push button start, the interior antenna is installed behind the tray - center LWR. Be careful not to damage the harness when removing the cover assembly - front.
    1. Remove the shift knob. (MT model)
    2. Remove the select lever knob. (CVT model) Refer to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>REMOVAL .

    3. Release the clips, and detach the cover assembly - front.

    4. Disconnect the harness connector.
    5. Remove the mat - center tray and the tray - center LWR.
  5. Remove the console box assembly.
    1. Remove the cap - console box and remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the screws and release the clip.
    3. Disconnect the harness connector, and remove the console box assembly.

  6. Disassemble the cover assembly - front and the console box assembly as required.

HYBRID MODEL 

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:
    • Release the shift lock and shift the select lever to the "N" position.
    • On power seat models, move the front seat all the way forward before disconnecting the battery ground terminal.
  2. Affix protective tape (a) to the ornament panel - console.

  3. Remove the cover assembly - front.
    CAUTION:
    • Remove the mat - center tray and the tray - center LWR together with the cover assembly - front. Removing the mat - center tray first may damage the parts.
    • For models with smart keyless access with push button start, the interior antenna is installed behind the tray - center LWR. Be careful not to damage the harness when removing the cover assembly - front.
    1. Remove the select lever knob. Refer to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>REMOVAL .

    3. Disconnect the harness connector.
    4. Remove the mat - center tray and the tray - center LWR.
  4. Remove the console box assembly.
    1. Remove the cap - console box and remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the screws and release the clip.
    3. Disconnect the harness connector, and remove the console box assembly.

  5. Disassemble the cover assembly - front and the console box assembly as required.
