DTC C1951: Actuator
DTC detecting condition:
A fault is detected if the electronic parking brake operation status does not match the operation request.
Trouble symptom:
- AVH does not function. (Models with EyeSight)
- Parking brake system does not operate.
Wiring diagram:
Parking brake/brake fluid level warning light system Refer to WIRING SYSTEM>PARKING BRAKE/BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING LIGHT SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM>WITH EYESIGHT .
- CHECK BATTERY.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Check the battery voltage. Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (EXCEPT FOR STI)>BATTERY>INSPECTION . Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (STI)>BATTERY>INSPECTION .
Is the voltage 10 - 15 V?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Charge or replace the battery. Check the generator circuit.
- CHECK VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U GROUND CIRCUIT (CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT).
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the connector from the VDC Control Module & H/U.
- Measure the resistance between VDC Control Module & H/U connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B310) No. 14 - Chassis ground:
Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?
Yes: Go to 3.
No: Repair the VDC Control Module & H/U ground circuit.
- CHECK HARNESS (CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT).
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the connectors from rear brake caliper.
- Measure the resistance between VDC Control Module & H/U and rear brake caliper connector.
Connector & terminal
(B310) No. 2 - (R153) No. 2:
(B310) No. 3 - (R153) No. 1:
(B310) No. 12 - (R154) No. 1:
(B310) No. 13 - (R154) No. 2:
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Repair harness and connector between VDC Control Module & H/U and rear brake caliper connector.
- CHECK POOR CONTACT OF CONNECTORS.
Is there poor contact of power supply circuit, ground circuit and VDC Control Module & H/U connector?
Yes: Repair the connector.
No: Go to 5.
- CHECK DRIVER'S DOOR SWITCH.
Check the driver's door switch. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>SECURITY SYSTEM>INSPECTION>CHECK DOOR SWITCH .
Is the check result OK?
Yes: Go to 6.
No: Repair the driver's door switch or circuit.
- CHECK VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U.
- Connect all connectors.
- Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC) (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY MODE .
- Set the AVH function to ON.
- Read the DTC. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC) (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes: Replace the VDC Control Module & H/U. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U) .
No: Go to 7.
- CHECK DETECTION OF OTHER DTCS FOR VDC.
Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC) (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is any other DTC displayed?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC) (DIAGNOSTICS)>LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
No: Currently, it is normal. There may have been a temporary poor contact in the harness and connector or a temporary noise interference.
