DTC C1412: Selected Parameter
DTC detecting condition:
- A fault is detected if abnormal set value is found on the vehicle model that were given some parameters.
- A fault is detected if 0 point setting compensation of the sensor is not yet performed.
Trouble symptom:
- ABS does not operate.
- VDC does not operate.
- Hill start assist does not operate. (Models without EyeSight)
- AVH does not function. (Models with EyeSight)
- EyeSight does not operate. (Models with EyeSight)NOTE: When the VDC Control Module & H/U is replaced, this DTC may be stored.
- CHECK VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U IDENTIFICATION SYMBOL.
Check the identification symbol attached on the H/U. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION .
Is the identification symbol correct?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Replace the VDC Control Module & H/U. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U) .
- CHECK PARAMETER SELECTED IN VDC CONTROL MODULE.
Does the parameter registered in the VDC Control Module match the relevant vehicle?
Yes: Go to 3.
No: Select and register the correct parameter. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDCCM PARAMETER SELECTION .
- CHECK SPECIFICATIONS OF OTHER CONTROL MODULES.
Check the specifications of ECM and TCM.
Are the specifications of ECM and TCM the same as vehicle specification?
Yes: Replace the VDC Control Module & H/U. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U) .
No: Replace the ECM and TCM. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) . Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (STI)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) . Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) .
