DTC B1410: Transponder Communication
DTC detecting condition:
Communication failure between ignition key and body integrated unit
- CHECK IGNITION KEY.
- Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch, and then turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY MODE .
- Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B1410 displayed?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. - CHECK IGNITION KEY.
- Prepare a spare ignition key that is already registered.
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch, and then turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B1410 displayed?
Yes: Go to 3.
No: Malfunction occurred in ignition key. Or, the key was unregistered.
- CHECK DTC.
Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B1411 displayed?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis of DTC B1411.
No: Go to 4.
- CHECK IMMOBILIZER ANTENNA.
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch, and then turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY MODE .
- Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B1410 displayed?
Yes: Replace the body integrated unit. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>BODY INTEGRATED UNIT .
No: Malfunction occurred in the immobilizer antenna, ignition key, or body integrated unit.
