DTC B1406: SCU_EEPROM

DTC detecting condition: 

• Defective security control module
• ROM of security control module cannot be accessed
  CAUTION: When the security control module is replaced, registration of the immobilizer system is required. For details, refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.

1. PERFORM SECURITY CONTROL MODULE REGISTRATION. 
   1. Perform security control module registration. Refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.
   2. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY MODE .
   3. Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Refer to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

   Is DTC B1406 displayed?

   Yes:  Replace the security control module. Refer to SECURITY ANDLOCKS>SECURITY CONTROL MODULE .

   No:  Finish the diagnosis.
