Combination Meter: Removal

CAUTION: When the combination meter is replaced, perform the variant work. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>Combination Meter System>OPERATION>VARIANT WORK .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Release the lock, tilt the steering column to the lowest end and fully extend the column by the telescopic system.
  3. Remove the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the visor assembly - lower.
    1. Release the clips and claws.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the visor assembly - lower.
      CAUTION:
      • Being careful not to damage the visor assembly - lower, slowly remove the clips and claws one by one from the right and left edges of visor assembly lower.
      • When using a clip remover, wrap it with protective tape or cloth.

  5. Remove the combination meter assembly.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the combination meter assembly, lens or instrument panel.
    1. Release the claws and remove the cover - column (a).
    2. Remove the bolt, screw and clip.

    3. Pull the combination meter assembly toward you and disconnect the connector.
