Front Seat Outer Belt ASSY: Installation
WARNING:
The following service operations include the works which may affect the SRS airbag system. Before starting work, always be sure to confirm the precautions related to the SRS airbag system. (Refer to
SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM
)
NOTE:
The procedures described below are for the RH side. Perform the same procedures for the LH side.
- Installation of the front seat outer belt ASSY RH
- Check of the inclination angle for activating the ELR locking operation
- Slowly move the retractor from the installation position, and check that the belt is not locked when the angle is within 12° in all directions, and that it is always locked when the angle is 27° or larger in all directions.
CAUTION: Do not disassemble the retractor. - Insert the guide, and install the retractor part of the front seat outer belt ASSY RH with 2 bolts.
Standard value: Bolt A
T=7.5N.m {77kgf.cm} {5.5ft.lbf}
Bolt B
T=30N.m {306kgf.cm} {22.1ft.lbf}
- Connect the pretensioner connector to the front seat outer belt ASSY RH.
- Push in the lock of the pretensioner connector.CAUTION: Lock it securely.
- Tighten the bolt to install the shoulder anchor part of the front seat outer belt ASSY RH.
Standard value: T=30N.m {306kgf.cm} {22.1ft.lbf}
- Check of the inclination angle for activating the ELR locking operation
- Installation of the center pillar garnish RH (Refer to INSTALLATION , Step 8 )
- Connection of front seat outer belt ASSY RH
- Tighten the bolt to install the floor anchor part of the front seat outer belt ASSY RH.
Standard value: T=30N.m {306kgf.cm} {22.1ft.lbf}
- Install the floor anchor cover.
- Tighten the bolt to install the floor anchor part of the front seat outer belt ASSY RH.
- Installation of the quarter rear trim garnish FR RH (Refer to INSTALLATION , Step 10 )
- Installation of the rear window side garnish RH (Refer to INSTALLATION , Step 12 )
- Installation of the quarter trim lid RH (Refer to INSTALLATION , Step 14 )
- Installation of the quarter lower trim RH (Refer to INSTALLATION , Step 16 )
- Installation of front door opening trim weather strip RH
- Installation of the front door scuff plate RH (Refer to INSTALLATION )
- Installation of separate type rear seat cushion ASSY (Refer to INSTALLATION )
- Connection of the battery ground terminal
Standard value: T=6.0N.m {61kgf.cm} {4.4ft.lbf}
- Function inspection of the seat belt (Refer to OPERATION CHECK )
- Inspection of airbag warning light (Refer to AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION PATTERN )
