V-Belt (FA20): Installation
- V-belt installationNOTE: When reusing the V-belt, check the rib and back side of its entire perimeter for wear or crack, and replace it if the wear or crack reaches its core (at one or more locations) or the rib rubber is chipped (at one or more locations).
- Route the V-belt around the pulleys as shown in the figure.CAUTION: The back side of the V-belt should face to the belt tensioner and the idler pulleys.
- Attach the tool to the pulley set bolt of belt tensioner and turn the belt tensioner clockwise.
- Make sure that the V-belt is properly set on each pulley.
- Route the V-belt around the pulleys as shown in the figure.
- Installation of A/C cover
- Install the A/C cover with the two bolts.
Standard value: T=6. 4N. m {65kgf. cm}{4. 7ft. lbf}
- Engage the two clamps and connect the wiring harness.
- Install the A/C cover with the two bolts.
- Generator cover installation
- Install the generator cover with the two bolts.
Standard value: T=6. 4N. m {65kgf. cm} {4. 7ft. lbf}
- Install the generator cover with the two bolts.
- Air cleaner case SUB-ASSY installation
- Install the air cleaner case SUB-ASSY with the three bolts.
Standard value: T=6. 0N. m {61kgf. cm} {4. 4ft. lbf}
- Install the air cleaner duct and air cleaner intake boot with the two hose clamps.
Standard value: T=2. 0N. m {20kgf. cm} {1. 5ft. lbf}
- Engage the clamp and install the wiring harness to the air cleaner cap.
- Connect the connector to the intake air flow meter SUB-ASSY.
- Connect the ventilation hose NO. 2 with the hose clip.
- Install the air cleaner case SUB-ASSY with the three bolts.
- V-belt check
- Start the engine and check that the V-belt is rotating smoothly without abnormal noise.
