- Precautions
WARNING:
Before starting the work, read the precautions for the SRS airbag system to make sure to properly perform the work. (Refer to
SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM
)
CAUTION:
After turning the ignition switch to OFF, you may have to wait for a while before disconnecting the battery terminals. Check appropriate precautions for battery terminal disconnection before proceeding. (Refer to
WORKING PRECAUTIONS AND NOTES
)
- Disconnection of the battery ground terminal
WARNING:
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF, disconnect the battery ground terminal, and then wait for 60 seconds before starting the work.
- The air bag and pretensioner system are fitted with a backup power supply. If you start the work within 60 seconds after disconnecting the battery ground terminal, the air bag may be activated.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the molding, be sure to fully open the door glasses on both driver's and passenger's sides.
- Removal of the separate type rear seat cushion ASSY
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the hook and remove the rear seat cushion ASSY LH.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the seat, the body exterior and interior.
- If you remove the rear seat cushion ASSY without releasing the hook, the rear seat cushion ASSY may be deformed.

- Removal of the separate type rear seat cushion ASSY RH

- Removal of the center console silencer No. 1
- Remove 2 clips and remove the center console silencer No. 1.

- Removal of the bench type rear seat backrest ASSY
- Remove 3 clips and turn over the rear seat backrest cover.
- Remove 2 bolts and remove the bench type rear seat backrest ASSY.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the seat, the body exterior and interior.

- Removal of front door scuff plate LH (Refer to

- Removal of front door scuff plate RH
NOTE:
Remove the part in the same manner as LH side.
- Removal of front door opening trim weather strip LH
- Remove the front door opening trim weather strip LH to the extent that the quarter lower trim LH can be removed.
- Removal of the front door opening trim weather strip RH
NOTE:
Remove the part in the same manner as LH side.
- Disconnection of trunk trim cover INN LH (Refer to
REMOVAL
, Step 17)
- Disconnection of trunk trim cover INN RH
NOTE:
Remove the part in the same manner as LH side.
- Removal of quarter lower trim LH (Refer to
REMOVAL
, Step 19)
- Removal of quarter lower trim RH
NOTE:
Remove the part in the same manner as LH side.
- Removal of the quarter trim lid LH (Refer to
REMOVAL
, Step 21)
- Removal of quarter trim lid RH
NOTE:
Remove the part in the same manner as LH side.
- Removal of the rear window side garnish LH (Refer to
REMOVAL
, Step 23)
- Removal of rear window side garnish RH
NOTE:
Remove the part in the same manner as LH side.
- Removal of package tray trim panel ASSY (Refer to
REMOVAL
, Step 15)
- Removal of the rear seat backrest lock striker cover LH
- Remove 3 clips and remove the rear seat backrest lock striker cover LH.
