Rear Bumper Stripe: Replacement

  1. Removal of the rear bumper stripe
  2. Cleaning of the body installation surface
    1. Degrease the installation surface with appropriate detergent.
  3. Installation of the rear bumper stripe
    1. Mark the center of the rear bumper cover.

    2. Position the rear bumper stripe by aligning its cutout.

    3. Temporarily secure the rear bumper stripe.

    4. Fold the rear bumper stripe, and peel the backing sheet.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to touch the adhesive surface.

    5. Spray the rear bumper cover with water, and install the rear bumper stripe.

    6. Use a squeegee or a similar tool to press the stripe against the surface starting from the center of the vehicle, and be sure not to leave any water or foam.
    7. Remove the application part, and check if the rear bumper stripe is properly attached.
      CAUTION:
      • If you cannot peel the rear bumper stripe from the application side, press it against the surface again.
      • If there is any foam left, use a needle or a similar object to make a hole, and push the foam out.
