- CHECK DTC.
Read the DTC of [Combination Meter] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B1500 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Go to 2.
No : Go to 6.
- CHECK COMBINATION METER.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Active Test] of [Combination Meter]. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>ACTIVE TEST .
- Fuel Meter Operation
- Remaining fuel warning
Is the operation of [Fuel Meter Operation] and [Remaining fuel warning] OK?
Yes : Go to 3.
No : Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Active Test] of [Combination Meter]. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>ACTIVE TEST .
- CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT).
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the combination meter connector and the fuel level sensor connector and the fuel sub level sensor connector.
- Using the tester, measure the resistance between terminals.

- CHECK CONNECTOR.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect connectors.
Is there poor contact of connector?
Yes : Repair or replace the poor contact of connector.
No : Go to 7.
- CHECK DATA MONITOR.
Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Combination Meter]. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- Fuel level resistance
Does [Fuel level resistance] indicate 15 - 480 Ω?
Yes : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. No : Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .
