Air Cleaner Case: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Remove the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (STI)>Air Intake Duct>REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the connector (A) from air flow and intake air temperature sensor. (Except for TYPE RA)
  4. Loosen the clamp (B) which holds the air intake boot. (Except for TYPE RA)
  5. Remove the clip (C) from the air cleaner case (front). (Except for TYPE RA)
  6. Remove the power steering oil pressure hose (suction hose) (D) and harness (E) from the air cleaner case (rear). (Except for TYPE RA)

  7. Remove the air cleaner case (rear) and air intake boot. (Except for TYPE RA)
  8. Remove the air cleaner element. (Except for TYPE RA)
  9. Remove the air cleaner element. (TYPE RA) Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (STI)>Air Cleaner Element>REMOVAL>TYPE RA .
  10. Remove the bolt (A) and nut (B), and remove the air cleaner case (front).

  11. Remove the air cleaner case bracket from the vehicle.
