DTC B1401 Meter Collation

DTC detecting condition:

Reference code incompatibility between combination meter and body integrated unit

CAUTION: When the combination meter is replaced, registration of the immobilizer system is required. For details, refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume. Contact an Authorized Subaru Dealership.

CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Ref. to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)

Is DTC B1407 or B1408 displayed?

Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTC B1407 or B1408.

No: Go to 2
CHECK COMBINATION METER REGISTRATION .
Perform registration of combination meter. Refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume. Contact an Authorized Subaru Dealership.

Is registration complete?

Yes: Currently, it is normal. (Combination meter registration is not complete.)

No: Go to 3
CHECK DTC .
1. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Ref. to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>Clear Memory Mode
2. Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Ref. to IMMOBILIZER (DIAGNOSTICS)>Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Is DTC B1407 or B1408 displayed?

Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTC B1407 or B1408.

No: Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>Combination Meter
