Lower Inner Trim: Removal

CAUTION:
  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .
  • If the hook - rear seat is disconnected from the vehicle body, make sure to replace the hook - rear seat with a new part to prevent the decline of the fixed force of the seat.

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Release the claws, and then remove the cover side sill - front.
    CAUTION: Do not pull with excessive force. Doing so may damage the claws of the cover side sill - front.

  3. Remove the clips, and remove the front cover - side sill.

  4. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Ref. to SEATS>Rear Seat>REMOVAL .
  5. Release the clips and claws, and then remove the cover side sill - rear.
    CAUTION: Do not pull with excessive force. Doing so may damage the claws of the cover side sill - rear.

  6. Remove the trim panel - center pillar LWR.
    1. Release the clip by pulling the trim panel - center pillar LWR toward you.
    2. Expand the claws of the trim panel - center pillar LWR outward, and remove it from the trim panel - center pillar UPR.
      CAUTION:
      • Do not expand the trim panel - center pillar LWR excessively. Doing so may damage the trim.
      • If the claw is damaged, always replace the trim panel - center pillar LWR with a new part, because the damaged claw cannot hold the part sufficiently.

      NOTE: First release the claw located to the front of the vehicle.
  7. Disconnect the claws and remove the cover - catcher.

    NOTE: Remove the cover - catcher by using a plastic remover.
