DTC B1408 Meter Non-Volatile Memory

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Defective combination meter

CAUTION: When the combination meter is replaced, registration of the immobilizer system is required. For details, refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.

1 CHECK COMBINATION METER REGISTRATION. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. (Combination meter <Ref. to Clear Memory Mode .> and body integrated unit <Ref. to CLEAR MEMORY MODE .>) Perform registration of combination meter. Refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. <Ref. to CLEAR MEMORY MODE .> Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. <Ref. to READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .>	Is DTC B1408 displayed?	Replace the combination meter. <Ref. to Combination Meter .>	Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
