DTC P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit: Notes

DTC detecting condition:

Immediately at fault recognition

Trouble symptom:

CAUTION:

After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform Clear Memory Mode Ref. to OPERATION , Clear Memory Mode, and Inspection Mode Ref. to PROCEDURE , Inspection Mode.
Use the check board when measuring the ECM terminal voltage and resistance.

Step	Check	Yes	No
1 CHECK INSTALLATION CONDITION OF CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR.	Is the crankshaft position sensor installation bolt tightened securely?	Go to step 2	Tighten the crankshaft position sensor installation bolt securely. Ref. to INSTALLATION , Crankshaft Position Sensor.
2 CHECK CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Remove the crankshaft position sensor. Measure the resistance between terminals of crankshaft position sensor. Terminals No. 1 - No. 2:	Is the resistance between 1 and 4 kΩ?	Go to step 3	Replace the crankshaft position sensor. Ref. to CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
3 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CONNECTOR. Disconnect the connector from ECM. Measure the resistance of harness between ECM connector and crankshaft position sensor connector. Connector & terminal (E158) No. 40 - (E10) No. 1: (E158) No. 27 - (E10) No. 2:	Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?	Repair the poor contact of ECM and crankshaft position sensor connector.	Repair the harness and connector. NOTE: In this case, repair the following item: Open circuit in harness between ECM connector and crankshaft position sensor connector Poor contact of coupling connector
