Purge Control Solenoid Valve: Installation

  1. Install the vacuum hose to the purge control solenoid valve.

  2. Connect the vacuum hose (A) and connector (B) to the purge control solenoid valve.

  3. Install the bolt securing the purge control solenoid valve to the intake manifold assembly.
    NOTE: Hold the purge control solenoid valve unit by hand to prevent it from rotating together.

    Tightening torque: 

    3.4 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 2.5 ft-lb) 

  4. Secure the vacuum hose to the clip (A), and connect the vacuum hose to the intake manifold assembly.

  5. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to BATTERY
