Section 12 (Engine Cooling System (H6DO)): Thermostat: Removal

Drain engine coolant. Ref. to DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT , REPLACEMENT, Engine Coolant.
Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from thermostat cover.

Remove the thermostat cover, and then remove the thermostat and gasket.
