Front Exhaust Pipe: Removal
CAUTION:
Vehicle components are extremely hot after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to BATTERY
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the under cover. Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Under Cover.
- Disconnect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector (A) and rear oxygen sensor connector (B) and remove the clip (C) fastening the harness.
- Remove the bolts, springs, and nuts securing the rear exhaust pipe to the center exhaust pipe.
- Remove the bolt which holds center exhaust pipe to hanger bracket.
- Remove the nuts which hold the front exhaust pipe onto the cylinder heads, and remove the front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe as a unit.
CAUTION:
- The front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe are very heavy. Be careful not to drop the exhaust pipes when removing.
- After removing the front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe, do not apply excessive pulling force on the rear exhaust pipe.
