Lower Inner Trim: Removal
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". <Ref. to CAUTION , General Description.>
- If the hook - rear seat is disconnected from the vehicle body, make sure to replace the hook - rear seat with a new part to prevent the decline of the fixed force of the seat.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. <Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents.>
- Release the claws, and then remove the cover side sill - front.CAUTION: Do not pull with excessive force. Doing so may damage the claws of the cover side sill - front.
- Remove the clips, and remove the front cover - side sill.
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Seat.>
- Release the clips and claws, and then remove the cover side sill - rear.CAUTION: Do not pull with excessive force. Doing so may damage the claws of the cover side sill - rear.
- Remove the trim panel - center pillar LWR.
- Release the clip by pulling the trim panel - center pillar LWR toward you.
- Expand the claws of the trim panel - center pillar LWR outward, and remove it from the trim panel - center pillar UPR.
CAUTION:- Do not expand the trim panel - center pillar LWR excessively. Doing so may damage the trim.
- If the claw is damaged, always replace the trim panel - center pillar LWR with a new part, because the damaged claw cannot hold the part sufficiently.
NOTE: First release the claw located to the front of the vehicle. - Disconnect the claws and remove the cover - catcher.
NOTE:
Remove the cover - catcher by using a plastic remover.
