Engine Cooling System (H4DOTC): Thermostat: Installation

Install a gasket to thermostat.
NOTE:
- Use a new gasket.
- Align the positions of the jig pin (a) and gasket ribs (b).

Install the thermostat and thermostat cover.
NOTE: Align the oil pan upper cutout (a) with the position of the thermostat rib (b).

Tightening torque:

6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

Connect the radiator outlet hose to thermostat cover.

Install the center exhaust pipe. Ref. to EXHAUST(H4DOTC)>Center Exhaust Pipe>INSTALLATION .
Install the under cover. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Front Under Cover>INSTALLATION .
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
