EGR Cooler: Removal
- Remove the collector cover.
- Remove the clip (A).
- Hold the shaded area (B) by hand and carefully pull the RH side (C) upward.
- Hold the shaded area (D) by hand and carefully pull the LH side (E) upward.

- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the intercooler. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>Intercooler>REMOVAL

- Remove the brake booster vacuum hose from the clip, and place the brake booster vacuum hose aside so that it does not interfere with the work.

- Lift up the vehicle.
- Drain engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING(H4DOTC)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT

- Disconnect the engine coolant outlet hose from the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).

- Remove the nuts which secure the EGR cooler to the cylinder head RH.

- Disconnect the water hose from the water pipe RH.

- Lower the vehicle.
- Disconnect the engine coolant inlet hose from the EGR cooler.

- Remove the bolts which secure the EGR cooler to the EGR control valve and cylinder head RH, and remove the EGR cooler.

- Remove the gasket (A) from the stud bolt, and remove the stud bolt from the cylinder head RH.
