| 1 CHECK CONDITION OF CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. Turn the ignition switch to OFF. |

| 2 CHECK CRANK SPROCKET. Remove the timing belt cover. |
Are crank sprocket teeth cracked or damaged? | Replace the crank sprocket. < Ref. to CRANK SPROCKET . > | Go to step 3. |
