DTC P1C40: Hybrid Battery Positive Contactor Or Pre-Charge Contactor Circuit Stuck Closed: Trouble Symptom

EV traveling/Auto Start Stop does not operate.
Motor assist does not regenerates.

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". < Ref. to CAUTION , General Description.>

DTC PROCEDURE

Step	Check	Yes	No
1 CHECK DTC. Read DTCs of the following system. Engine Transmission < Ref. to appropriate OPERATION, Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in CVT Diagnostics (TR58A) article.> Hybrid powertrain control system < Ref. to HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL SYSTEM , OPERATION, Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).> Drive motor control system < Ref. to DRIVE MOTOR CONTROL SYSTEM , OPERATION, Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).> Airbag system < Ref. to OPERATION , Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).>	Are any other DTCs detected? (current malfunction)	First perform the diagnosis according to other DTCs.	Go to step 2 .
2 CHECK BECM. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. < Ref. to BATTERY ENERGY CONTROL SYSTEM , OPERATION, Clear Memory Mode.> Start the engine. Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Wait for 30 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Read the DTC again. < Ref. to BATTERY ENERGY CONTROL SYSTEM , OPERATION, Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).>	Is the same DTC detected? (current malfunction)	Replace the high voltage battery. < Ref. to HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY .>	Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

NOTE: Operation of contactor relay under the normal condition.
