TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY Assembly: Removal

Disconnection of battery ground terminal (refer to REMOVAL )
Removal of exhaust pipe Sub-Assembly FR
(Refer to REMOVAL )
Draining of automatic transmission fluid
1. Remove the drain plug and gasket to drain automatic transmission fluid.
2. Install the drain plug via a new gasket.
  Standard value: T=20N.m {204kgf.cm} {14.8ft.lbf}
Transmission oil pan Sub-Assembly (ATM) removal (refer to REMOVAL )
Removal of valve body oil strainer Assembly (refer to REMOVAL )
Disconnection of transmission wire (refer to REMOVAL )
Removal of transmission valve body Assembly
1. Remove the bolt and then remove the detent spring cover and detent spring.

2. Remove 19 bolts to remove the transmission valve body Assembly from the automatic transmission case Sub-Assembly.

3. Remove the lever pin from the manual valve to remove the transmission valve body Assembly.

4. Remove the check ball body and spring.

  CAUTION: Be careful not to drop and lose the check ball body.
