Inspection steps

NOTE:
Read the freeze frame data using the SSM3. A part of the engine running conditions under which the engine trouble occurred is recorded in the freeze frame data, which is useful for troubleshooting.
- Check of transmission revolution sensor (NT) installation condition
- Check the installation condition of the transmission revolution sensor (NT).
Criteria: The mounting bolt is not loosened and the sensor is not lifted or tilted.

NG: Repair of installation condition or replacement of transmission revolution sensor (NT) (refer to REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next step
- Check the installation condition of the transmission revolution sensor (NT).
- Check of transmission revolution sensor (NT) unit
- Disconnect the connector L5 of the transmission revolution sensor (NT).
- Check the transmission revolution sensor (NT) unit. (Refer to INSTALLATION )
- Connect the connector L5 of the transmission revolution sensor (NT).
NG: Replacement of transmission revolution sensor (NT) (refer to REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next step
- Check wiring harness and connector (transmission control computer - transmission revolution sensor)NOTE: Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURES FOR ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS AND HOW TO PERFORM for checking procedure and precautions of wiring harness and connector
- Disconnect the connector A19 of the transmission control computer ASSY.
- Disconnect the connector L5 of the transmission revolution sensor (NT).
- Measure the resistance between the terminals. (ECM TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT
for terminal arrangement of transmission control computer ASSY)

- Connect the connector L5 of the transmission revolution sensor (NT).
NG: Repair or replacement of wiring harness or connector
OK: Go to next step
- Replacement of transmission control computer ASSY
- Replace the transmission control computer ASSY. (Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL COMPUTER ASSY
)
