Inspection steps

- Check of shift lock solenoid unit
- Check the shift lock solenoid unit. (Refer to UNIT INSPECTION
)
NG: Replacement of shift lock solenoid (refer to REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next step
- Check the shift lock solenoid unit. (Refer to UNIT INSPECTION
)
- Check wiring harness and connector (main body ECM (network gateway computer) - shift lock solenoid)NOTE: Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURES FOR ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS AND HOW TO PERFORM for checking procedure and precautions
- Disconnect the connector D5 of the main body ECM (network gateway computer).
- Disconnect the connector D28 of shift lock solenoid.
- Measure the resistance between the terminals.RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION (DISCONNECTION CHECK)
Inspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value D5-20 - D28-4 Always Less than 1 Ω RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION (SHORT CHECK)Inspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value D5-20 and D28-4 - chassis ground Always 10 k Ωor more - Connect the connector D5 of the main body ECM (network gateway computer).
- Connect the connector D28 of the shift lock solenoid.
NG: Repair or replacement of wiring harness or connector
OK: Go to next step
- Check wiring harness and connector (shift lock solenoid-chassis ground)NOTE: Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURES FOR ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS AND HOW TO PERFORM for checking procedure and precautions
- Disconnect the connector D28 of shift lock solenoid.
- Measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance
Inspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value D28-5 - chassis ground Always Less than 1 Ω - Connect the connector D28 of the shift lock solenoid.
NG: Repair or replacement of wiring harness or connector
OK: Replacement of main body ECM (network gateway computer) (refer to REMOVAL )
